16 EU BUSINESS NEWS / Q1 2018 KnowBe4 Appoints UK Managing Director Ruth Schofield to spearhead aggressive expansion plans for fast- growing security and training awareness provider. KnowBe4, provider of the world’s largest new-school security awareness and simulated phishing platform, has appointed Ruth Schofield as its UK Managing Director. Ruth will be responsible for leading KnowBe4’s UK operation, which established a formal beach-head in the UK in 2017, for setting out and delivering on the Company’s long-term channel strategy and developing a robust partner network across the region. Ruth, joined KnowBe4 as Channel Manager EMEA in early 2017 from Pingthing, a B2B Marketing Agency specialising in optimising IT vendor and partner marketing where she was head of sales. Ruth has a proven track record in building growth and credibility within the channel community. Prior to Pingthing she held head of channel roles for Signify, a managed security services provider, Accumuli Security Plc, and, before that, Proofpoint. KnowBe4 has already achieved some very impressive revenue figures in the U.K. year-on-year, leaping by 553 per cent in FY17, adding 330 customer wins in the same period. The company has also appointed more than 300 new partners and will continue with this expansion during the course of 2018 as it focuses on helping channel partners to improve their security offerings.
