Jul22493 37. Because there is nothing in the world that feels quite like driving a classic car, Graber Sportgarage AG has dedicated itself to restoring even the most challenging retro vehicles. Be it a full, ground-up restoration or revisions to integral components such as the engine, gearbox, or suspension, the team here can be relied upon to do a job fitting of the timeless motor a client has brought them. We caught up with Roland Jordan, the company’s award-winning CEO, for more on this exquisite craft. The home of classic motorsport in Switzerland, Graber Sportage has decades of experience in restoration and rebuilding, two well-equipped workshops, and a particular affinity for cars with a sporting or racing pedigree from the 1930s through to the 1980s. Such a combination means that the team behind the company are able to cater for some of the most remarkable cars ever built, like the Ferrari 250 LM, the Maserati Tipo 61 (otherwise known as the Maserati Birdcage), and the Porsche 917 – to name just a few. Whether a client wants their classic car restored so that they can take it out on weekends or they are looking to get it tuned and prepared for an upcoming race, Graber Sportage delivers a comprehensive service that sees seamless repair overhauls provided to just about every component of a vehicle. Thanks to an array of quality machines spread across its two workshops – both near Berne (in Toffen and in Münsingen) – these experts are able to brings cars back to flawless, period-correct condition. Outside of these services, the company is also a regular at some of the most prestigious races and events relating to classic cars in the world. These include the complete Peter Auto Series, the Le Mans Classic, the Grand Prix Historique Monaco, and even the Goodwood Revival. At these events, members of the team race their own personal vehicles, underpinning both a passion for this work and their credibility, as, on the track, they are on equal footing with their clients and can show off the difference their work makes. As this proves, every member of the team behind Graber Sportage has an unbridled love for racing and historic cars, and CEO Roland Jordan is no different. It was this enthusiasm that led Roland to the role, after a career filled with high-level positions across some of the most esteemed companies in Switzerland. The blending of a love for the industry with experience across fields such as corporate accounts and business development made Roland the obvious choice to step into the role of company CEO 20 months ago. “The strength to inspire my team members and respond to their needs with good intuition, all in order to achieve outstanding results as a team, is one of my great strengths.” Roland’s emphasis on the client experience also aligns with the company’s work, given it deals with cars that are enormously important and can be worth incredible amounts of money. As a result, Graber Sportage prides itself on maintaining close contact with its clients and updating them constantly on the progress of their projects. A detailed list of all work carried out is also provided, complete with photos. This is crucial in this segment, where complete documentation can means thousands extra when selling a vehicle. Unfaltering attention to detail across the entire process sets Graber Sportage apart, which is somewhat ironic given that Switzerland is quite an unfavourable location for a company such as this to be based in – due to it having no race tracks and an abundance of administrative hurdles to go through regarding transport and customs. It is therefore key for Roland and the team here to continue adding value by building strong relationships with their clients, improving their processes, and implementing new repair solutions. The latter of these is particularly important for the company moving forwards, as Roland has really pushed for technological advancement since joining Graber Sportage. Prior to that, the company was very traditional (some might say outdated) in its methods. Under Roland, IT frameworks and internal software concerning order and stock management have been introduced, alongside a system allowing clients to track the status of their projects online. The team now even use 3D scanning and printing for many of the parts. Reflecting on the progress he has already made in a relatively short time, this Classic Car Restoration CEO commented: “My thirst for knowledge is far from quenched and I look forward to every challenge. Always keeping an open mind and wanting to face every situation is what continues to drive me – and Graber Sportgarage AG.” Company: Graber Sportgarage AG Web Address: https://grabersportgarage.ch/en/home Classic Car Restoration CEO of the Year 2025 (Switzerland): Roland Jordan
