To broaden the perspective, the assetbird team refers to its system as an ARM (Asset Relationship Management) besides CRM systems. Because when it comes to real estate transactions, the deal pipeline is about the asset, not the contact. Before starting assetbird together with his co-founder Nico Kramp, Tobias helped to build startups and corporations alike. Whether it is pivoting a smart building startup and winning the first 50 clients, scaling a medical device business unit from 140 M€ to 300+ M€ in 3 years or consulting Volkswagen for in-car software innovation. Entrepreneurship is about culture and strategy. Looking back, Tobias sees two pillars that make great entrepreneurship and innovation. These are Culture and Strategy. “The better both play together, the more great things happen.”, Tobias believes. “I see great power in an open, curious and fun culture. Having a good time together and learning from each other about new ideas and perspectives is a basis for motivation and innovation.” Tobias further sees a connection to strategy: “With an open mindset, we strive to develop and execute a great strategy built on high clarity of user needs and client's business drivers. Doing this as a team, I found, is a booster for everyone's motivation.” Helping people do what they enjoy. Moving forwards, Tobias aims to further double down on what drives value for the real estate industry. “In a nutshell, it's about helping people do more of what they enjoy and less what distracts them from it. We want people to be most excited about their working lives.”, which is what motivates Tobias.
