Sheciety aims to do just that by empowering women both privately and professionally. We spoke with CEO Saina Bayatpour following her recognition in the programme as the ‘Most Influential App CEO’ of the year to find out more about her ethos and mission. Technology connects people. For Saina, Sheciety’s mission comes entirely from a place of passion. “Our work is more needed than ever. We want to be the biggest woman-led and focused network worldwide to be able to change global society to be a ‘Sheciety’. Sheciety works for equality and equal rights for women. It also promotes cohesion and cooperation among each other. In addition to numerous events, the sheciety app networks and supports women in their everyday lives, in all facets of their lives.” Saina created Sheciety on the back of her experiences in the larger professional world. “After my studies at university, I founded my event and marketing agency. I quickly realised that hardly any women were active as entrepreneurs or were present at important meetings. I wanted to change that and founded my women's network. I nurture my relationship with partners and team and put a lot of heart and soul into every project. When you love what you do, everything else falls into place.” “I always try to keep my finger on the pulse, be flexible, open and willing to change and redo things, even in ongoing projects.” It perhaps goes without saying, but the company is built on the back of both compassion and passion, with an internal culture that lives and breathes the ethos that Saina has cultivated. “The company is very ‘family-like’. I include everyone in my thoughts and decisions I often came to the point of just wanting to give up Often we didn't have the money to continue I put every cent I earned through my agency into my women's network, but it often wasn't enough and we couldn't help others in the way we endeavoured to do. This often led to frustration.
