36 EU BUSINESS NEWS / 2019 Irish Enterprise Awards , STAC First Aid Most Trusted First Aid Training Company 2019: STAC First Aid Feb19082 STAC First Aid is a leading training company focused on providing first class first aid training. We invited Founder Seamus Sinnott to tell us more about the firmand the services it has to offer. Established in 2008. STAC First Aid began as a result of a work accident as CEO Seamus Sinnott witnessed. It was a light- bulb moment when he realised his first-aid training was not good enough. People have to feel confident and ready to step-up in any situation and that has been his firm’s aim from the very beginning. Today the firm has franchisees spread across Ireland and offers hands-on training that clients enjoy. Many clients train once a year with STAC First Aid, which is testimony to the level of excellence the firm offers in its courses. Seamus explores how far the firm has come in more detail. “Seeking to offer an alternative approach to traditional first aid courses, here at STACC First Aid we offer first-aid courses nationally for just about any situation for any individual and for any industry. As such, it does not matter whether our client needs first-aid training because they are about to become a parent or if they are a worker in a special- ised industry, or even volunteer with sports organisations. Our solutions are fully bespoke and can be tailored to meet the needs of our clients. We also offer emergency medicine training and we run fire safety courses. “All of these services help us to achieve our mission: to train Ireland to become world leaders at saving lives. We are constantly developing new courses that cater for different situations. An example of this is we have just held our first training course ‘Emergency Response Training’ aimed at teaching first-aid where industrial chemicals are involved. It is a very intensive hands-on course and we put the trainees out of their comfort zone initially before they arrive at a confident and secure place that this kind of teaching gives them.” Since its inception STAC First Aid has strived to differentiate itself from its competition and offer clients an innovative approach to first aid training. Seamus discusses how the firm has achieved this thanks to its expert team of friendly, supportive staff and their creative approach. “At STAC First Aid we are constantly looking to offer all our clients a unique experience, and it is definitely more fun and more hands- on to do a course with us. Our tutors are all amazing and they manage to turn any group of strangers into a bunch of happy confident life-savers. We never cancel, and we are nationwide and consistent with our training. We take great pride in the fact that when they train with us once, the clients will never want to train with anyone else. As testimony to this, we have old friends coming back for their refresher courses year after year, something we are incredibly happy about.” Building on the firm’s current success, Seamus has many exciting plans ahead for the future of STAC First Aid, as he is proud to conclude. “Moving forward, our focus at STAC First Aid is to provide our award-winning first aid courses to an even wider range of clients. As such, we will be expanding into the UK in the future and look forward to the opportu- nities for further growth this will bring for our firm and the new clients we will meet along the way.” Contact Details Company: STAC First Aid | Name: Seamus Sinnott Address: Unit 11A, Ballycummin Village, Raheen, Limerick Telephone Number: 061 595290 | Web Address: www.stac.ie “At STAC First Aid, we take great pride in the fact that when they train with us once, the clients will never want to train with anyone else, something we are incredibly happy about.
