In 2008, a new testing facility was added with high end software for detailed performance data. Mulmuf produces exhaust systems to fulfil every generator need, with its experienced design engineers able to pre-design silencers and pipe work requirements. Silencers can be industrial or residential and are all custom-built to fit engines ranging from 10 KVA to 2500 KVA. Within the company’s state-of-the-art test facility, all silencers are tested to meet clients’ noise requirements and the team works closely with their clients to ensure that all exhaust systems are designed to run as efficiently as possible, thereby saving fuel costs. Along with standard generator sets, Mulmuf also designs and supplies bespoke internal or external catalytic converter units. Catalytic converters effectively reduce engine exhaust emissions, including NOx, CO2, hydrocarbons, formaldehydes and particulates. The company supplies many of the industry leaders in generator manufacturing, such as Caterpillar, F.G. Wilson and AJ Power, and stocks a wide range of designs to suit many of the most popular engine types, such as Perkins, Cummins, Volvo, Scania and MTU, to name a few. The company has also heavily invested in tooling equipment over the last 20 years, combining a wide range of apparatus and years of knowledge in bending tube and pipe products in order to produce mandrel bends using a range of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel and aluminised steel.
