Euro Note Souvenir Ltd (Euro Note) is a small family-owned business located in Headford, County Galway. The firm holds the exclusive license to make the 0 Euro Souvenir banknotes in Ireland which are printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire in France - one of the printing houses of the European Central Bank (ECB) that also prints the Euro currency bills. The 0 Euro notes are very authentic and have the same security features that the currency Euro bills have, for example micro print, watermark, invisible UV-sensitive ink, metal stripe, and more. Euro Note offers bespoke designs as a service for businesses in the tourism sector, both in Ireland and abroad. And also has a retail section online where it sells its own designs. The firm doesn’t have lengthy processes and takes great care that its customers are always happy and satisfied; not only with the products, but also with the communication and the way they feel treated. Other core values and goals obviously centre around Ireland and supporting its businesses, however sustainability is another key focal area for Euro Note. The products are made in the EU and are also paper based, and therefore have a low carbon footprint. As the only supplier of souvenir banknotes in Ireland, and with the exclusive license, Euro Note doesn’t have direct competitors in the country. The products produced receive great customer feedback and reviews as they are innovative and can be seen as a modern successor to souvenir tokens, medals or penny presses, which have been available for decades. With the start of the Covid lockdowns in 2020, Euro Note Souvenir Ltd was faced with the situation that all visitor and tourism businesses in Ireland were closed for extended periods of time.
