Irish Enterprise Awards 2023

26. Jan23657 Inspire 3D is Ireland's professional 3D printing systems provider, helping and encouraging its customers to adopt additive manufacturing, as well as offering training, applications development, consultancy, support and installation services. We find out more from its Manager, Mark Rowan, as the firm is named in the Irish Enterprise Awards 2023. Established in 2011, Inspire 3D (Inspire) was set up to service the growing needs for industry and education in Ireland to have access to the latest 3D printing technologies. Initially created as a service bureau providing a 3D printing service to customers, Inspire soon found that it was getting requests from customers to source in-house solutions, and it rapidly expanded to become distributor for leading 3D printer manufacturers. Today, the firm’s clients range from the average hobbyist looking to get into 3D printing purely for fun, all the way up to government bodies, and the largest medical device manufacturers in the country. As well as being a main retailer of various makes and technologies in 3D printing, Inspire also offers fully certified CPD training on its solutions along with follow-up services and applications assistance, with a strong customer-centric focus at all times. Striving to provide easy access for its customers to both the latest technologies and the latest materials in the world of additive manufacturing, Inspire works closely with its clients to provide custom solutions for their needs, not limiting its offering to their own range of machines, but also linking in with other manufacturers and experts to guarantee that each customer has the right solution. “3D printing isn't a one solution for all technology,” explains Mark Rowan, the firm’s experienced and knowledgeable Manager. “It’s all about finding what firstly works for the client’s needs ,but also is an economical sound solution for them.” This ethos is what has given Inspire its reputation of an being honest and open company and is also what sets it firmly aside from competitors within the industry. “We just don't believe in selling customer's machines that won’t work for their application,” Mark elaborates, speaking of the firm’s USPs. “This is what we have built our reputation and service on and will always stick to it.” In recent times, and in particular since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, additive manufacturing has played a big part in decentralisation of manufacturing and the ability to ramp up production when shipping and conventional manufacturing fell behind. This has been helped greatly by the rapid expansion in materials available in 3D printing. “Our UltiMaker systems on last count had a material library of more than 250 different materials, from recycled plastics and your standard PLA and PETG's up to carbon filled and certified plastics,” Mark continues. “In recent months, Inspire has noticed a growing need for large scale solutions for our customers people are looking to print larger and larger parts. in line with this we are delighted to have signed a reseller agreement with Builder 3D allowing our customers to scale up the size of their production with the addition of Builder 3D to our portfolio it brings our largest print volume up from 300mm x 300mm x 600mm up to a huge 1100mm x 1100mm x 820mm.” Recently, the firm was recognised for its dedication and hard work by being Most Dedicated 3D Printer Supplier & Support Provider 2023 rewarded with the prestigious title of Most Dedicated 3D Printer Supplier & Support Provider 2023 in the Irish Enterprise Awards 2023. Now, as the future beckons, Mark and the team have big plans for the next 12 months and with the continued growth in the industry it is expanding its product portfolio to increase its current technologies, as well as introducing several new and very exciting technologies into Ireland later in the year. “We are focusing a lot on the introduction of the builder range of machines,” he states. “We are also continuing to expand our training services in collaboration with several education and training facilities around the country, in order to increase users’ knowledge and abilities with additive manufacturing.” Contact: Mark Rowan Web Address: www.inspire3d.ie
