Irish Enterprise Awards 2026

54. Irish Enterprise Awards 2026 Helping its clients to master the art of intelligent building solutions by focusing on empowering comfort, efficiency, and sustainability at every turn, Sure Systems D&M Limited is Ireland’s leading mechanical services and building energy management system (BEMS) contractor. The company specialises in smart building BMS and energy management solutions for commercial buildings across the country, work which has netted it two awards in our Irish Enterprise Awards 2026. Sure Systems focuses on delivering turnkey mechanical packages, energy-efficient solutions, and long-term maintenance support for its clients, leveraging its expertise across HVAC installations, building controls, and performancefocused energy strategies to support their operations. Having worked with such huge brands as Lidl, the company recognises the importance of client satisfaction across every project, and this is why it remains deeply involved with their operations, ensuring no unforeseen issues arise. What really sets the company apart in this space is its ability to offer a fully integrated solution for its clients all under one roof. This means that, rather than them having to rely on different suppliers across the likes of ventilation, heating, IoT, and maintenance, they benefit from reduced project risk, simplified programme management, and the assurance that all elements will work together seamlessly from day one. Moreover, this model is further strengthened by the integration of Sure Systems’ own SURE Vision. An in-house energy management platform enabling continuous performance monitoring, optimisation, and transparent reporting, SURE Vision sees ongoing performance partnerships created with building owners and tenants, guaranteeing that carbon reduction targets are not just achieved to begin with but also across the entire building’s lifecycle. As a spokesperson for Sure Systems put it: “The results are demonstrably low-carbon, intelligent building and a delivery model that is scalable, repeatable, and difficult to replicate.” Fuelling demand for this is the large push currently being experienced for buildings to hit their CO2 targets, but with every building and project being different, it is difficult to roll out strategies that fit them all. Sure Systems has built its team around this diversity, with members located across the country so that the entirety of Ireland can be covered by these services. This is especially important when it comes to the likes of mechanical breakdown. As for this team, they are experienced, talented, and hardworking. A great example of their ability to do so comes from the Corrig Court project the company recent completed in Sandyford, Dublin, for which it has been recognised with our Building Decarbonisation & IoT Optimisation Excellence Award 2026. The project involved the team here decarbonising the entirety of a multi-tenant office development, turning an aging space that was dependent on fossil fuel into a building that was highly efficient, ran on clean energy, and digitally optimised – making it perfect for today’s world. This award-winning project centred on eliminating on-site combustion by replacing the existing gas boiler plant with an efficient system of heat pumps. At the same time, the team upgraded the central air handling unit, fitting a modern unit complete with an electric heating battery. This meant all ventilation and heating could operate on a clean-energy basis. For the same reason, the team also installed a solar PV array, offsetting electrical demand and creating an on-site renewable energy source to feed the new plant. Alongside all of this, and to ensure long-term controllability, optimisation, and tenant comfort, Sure Systems then went on deploy a new, fully integrated, future-proof BMS system. The result is that the building now boasts IOT-based control across the likes of its radiators, dampers, and metering systems on all floors, improving visibility and performance alike. Finally, the project uses SURE Vision, guaranteeing continuous optimisation, fault detection, performance benchmarking, and transparent energy reporting. The innovation the Corrig Court project today stands for would not be possible without the input and collaboration of its partners, and the team want to thank Allen from Mount Amber Investments for the opportunity, AMRA Engineering Consultants and Jeanette and Tom from Lisney Property Management for their full support in making it a reality. As a member of the team added: “The project is a great example of a replicable retrofit model demonstrating how existing commercial buildings can be rapidly decarbonised with real, measurable impact.” As this project shows, whether for a low-carbon HVAC retrofit, IOT building control, or anything in between, this end-to-end HVAC and decarbonisation contractor can get the job done to the highest standards. On the back of this, we are delighted to name Sure Systems D&M Limited the Irish Building Energy Innovator of the Year 2026.
