Scandinavian Business Awards 2025

EU Business News- Scandinavian Business Awards 2025 Best Hair Care Product Distributor 2025 – Europe & Hair Care Seminar of the Year 2025 – Europe Founded in Denmark in 2010, Trontveit ApS is the internationally minded, forward-looking partner to hairdressers, skincare professionals, cosmetologists, and online stores throughout Scandinavia and Europe. The company offers professional, high-quality products through its own signature brands – including ATTITUDE, ARTIST, and Bath – and established partnerships, and we spoke with CEO Thomas Trontveit to find out more about both its private-label and education-based solutions. Since dedicated hairdresser and former sales director Thomas Trontveit established his namesake company 15 years ago, he has sought to do things better. Led by both his heart and, initially, three revolutionary hair waxes, Trontveit began to make waves in this space – first in his home country of Denmark and then further afield across Europe. Today, Trontveit has a strong presence in 14 European nations, boasting more than 1,000 active items, B2B and B2C platforms, as well as a fast, stable day-to-say delivery service. At the heart of Trontveit’s distinction in this space is an ability to help hair salons and companies alike to bring their products to life, handling everything from the initial concept to the creation of the finished item with unrivalled efficiency and knowledge. Making all of this possible is the company’s own private production facility, which has been housed in the small Danish town of Klarup in Aalborg since 2022. From this base, Trontveit goes beyond just products – it builds lasting relationships, supports growth, and champions innovation on both a regional and an international level. As reflected in the second of the two awards the company has had bestowed upon it, a big part of what the company does is to educate and serve as a trusted knowledge source. This is achieved through the delivery of inspirational seminars and training, with these being designed both to enhance skills and boost confidence across the board. “We believe that by investing more in education and training, we can help our clients and partners grow alongside us. We are planning to develop a stronger education programme with seminars, workshops, and expert-led sessions that will elevate industry standards.” On the back of this, Thomas told us: “What sets Trontveit apart is our unique blend of Scandinavian innovation, deep industry expertise, strong educational foundation, and a focus on real partnerships. We’re not just selling products – we’re creating value at every stage of the lifecycle.” As a result of this multifaceted approach, Trontveit’s featuring in this year’s programme marks its fifth consecutive year being recognised, with the consistency of its results setting it apart in an industry synonymous with change. With an increasing amount of customers calling for personalised, sustainable products that align with their values, Trontveit is taking the necessary steps to ensure it remains ahead of the curve. For example, as well as an ongoing collaboration with Klimatræ that sees hundreds of trees planted per year, Trontveit is also energy self-sufficient, uses recycled plastic packaging, and produces a range of vegan products. Initiatives such as this have played an invaluable part in Trontveit achieving the coveted AAA credit rating for the past four years straight, with this being an accolade that less than 3% of all companies in Denmark are able to boast. In short, this perfect score is indicative of a healthy economy, strong management, and the fact that Trontveit is both safe and stable – for its customers as well as its network of likeminded partners. For Thomas, such an impressive achievement is down to the team at Trontveit, which he described as one of the “greatest assets” it has. Thomas continued: “With over 100 years of combined industry experience, we are a group of passionate professionals deeply committed to the growth and success of the beauty industry. From product development to customer service, each team member brings their own expertise, creativity, and drive.” This team have proven vital since the company’s founding, but 2025 is set to see some key members of this team retire after prosperous careers serving the brand. These include Torben, who will retire at the age of 77 having managed Trontveit’s storage solutions since its second year of operations, and Lone, a member of the production team who will be greatly missed and require an equally dedicated replacement. Besides these personnel changes, the rest of 2025 is set to be a year of international growth, ongoing transformation, and position-strengthening for Trontveit ApS, with this mutli-award-winning professional hair care distributor in Scandinavia seeking to strike the perfect balance between focusing on its own team and enhancing client operations.
