Founded in 2014, and initially focusing exclusively on New Zealand, the firm now has a global following and is looking to a bright and lucrative future. We find out more about the company as it finds success in the recent European Travel Awards 2025. Kolja and Lilith Chromow, had been living in New Zealand for a couple of years and loved the relaxed lifestyle of travelling this beautiful country in a van. Seeing a gap in the campervan market and wanting to share their experience of ‘life on the road’ with others, the ambitious couple’s goal was to make this experience easier to plan and book for customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. They also explain the pros and cons of all the different companies and vehicles available. And, as the firm doesn't work fully automised, it can also offer vans from smaller companies that don't provide automised data and are therefore often overlooked. Lilith states: “When other platforms are fully booked, we will still have something to offer the customer. “With all the time and effort that we put into every customer you may think that this will cost a lot of money. Hailed for its creative approach, we find out more from the game’s inventor, Juha Tuulikangas, as it receives notable recognition in the European Travel Awards 2025. Produced by Juliet Tango Products, Crosstravel Europe (Crosstravel) is a completely new and innovative kind of board game developed in Finland. Based on strategy and intelligence, and combining the fun and laughter of a traditional board game with up-to-date fact-finding from the internet, all that is needed to play is a device with internet connection. But there is so much out there to see and do, and everyone deserves a carefree holiday where they can enjoy themselves without having to worry about getting from place to place. This is something that videlis Seniorenreisen e.V., a travel company based in Germany, has been making possible since 1991, supported by an ambitious board and dedicated volunteers. Managing Director Holger Kähler caught up with us on the back of this recognition. A leading tour operator for seniors and people with disabilities, videlis is a non-profit organisation delivering group holidays for those who are unable to travel alone. Every trip it delivers is done so with an accompanying team of volunteers who support guests with everything they may need a helping hand with over the course of their holiday, from carrying luggage and pushing wheelchairs to getting food at the buffet.
