12. European Travel Awards 2026 Offering more than 300 days of sunshine, stunning mountainscapes, and idyllic beaches, Eastern Algarve is the perfect destination for travellers seeking an authentic, slow-paced escape. This is a region best explored whilst staying at Laranjal Farm House, a boutique retreat offering the perfect balance of rural tranquillity, curated design, and authentic Portuguese hospitality. “Everything started with an orange grove, a passion for the land, and a desire to share this special place with others.” Laranjal Farm House first began life in 2011 as a countryside family property in Moncarapacho, Olhão. Surrounded by mountains, the sea, and traditional village communities, Laranjal’s owner had the vision of evolving his property into a place where the experience, the beauty, the tranquillity, and the authentic character of the Algarve could be shared with people around the world. Through significant investment and renovation, the Laranjal Farm House was transformed into a welcoming local accommodation that preserved its original character and connection to nature. Today, Laranjal Farm House is a boutique retreat, where the essence of its original orange grove coexists in perfect harmony with a setting designed around comfort, authenticity, privacy, tranquillity, and genuine hospitality. Laranjal Farm House offers three distinct accommodation concepts within the same estate, allowing guests to choose the experience that best suits their travel style. Laranjal Studios offers simplicity and privacy, with uninterrupted views; Casa Pé de Salsa combines the charm of a traditional Algarve home with contemporary comfort; and Edgar Terraces provides a more exclusive experience, featuring sophisticated architecture and panoramic views of the Algarve hills. Beyond accommodation, Laranjal Farm House features an array of common areas, including shared pools, an outdoor gym, picnic and al fresco dining areas, barbecue facilities, and a traditional wood-fired oven area, as well as thoughtfully designed Mediterranean, tropical, and contemporary gardens. It also boasts a carefully curated selfservice Honesty Shop, stocked with homemade ready-to-eat meals, regional specialties, beverages, and seasonal fruit freshly picked from the farm. Through the years, Laranjal Farm House has continuously refined its guest experience to ensure an exceptional stay from start to finish, having developed a Guest Guide that includes local insights alongside trusted partners in gastronomy, leisure, and wellness. In the last two years, its team has hosted an array of exclusive in-house events designed to share the true soul of Portugal with every guest, from wine and honey tastings to yoga and pilates classes, soap and candle workshops, and crowdfavourite paella nights. 2026 has been a pivotal year of growth and transformation for Laranjal Farm House. The team made the strategic decision to evolve from a single accommodation into a hospitality group under Laranjal Heritage, marking an important new chapter in its journey. This expansion began with new properties in the south of Portugal, Tavira, and will be followed by a move up north to Porto towards the end of the year. As it continues to grow, one of the Laranjal Farm House team’s key priorities is to ensure that its mission, vision, and corporate values are consistently embedded across every Laranjal Heritage property. It aims for guests to experience the same philosophy, sense of place, and commitment to authentic hospitality that earned Laranjal Farm House the Outstanding Client Experience Award 2026 in Algarve, while allowing each property to retain its own character and connection to its destination. As Laranjal Farm House is named Algarve’s Best Boutique Rural Retreat 2026, a spokesperson for the team shared, “The ambition is to continue growing Laranjal Heritage thoughtfully and sustainably, creating a collection of properties that share a strong common identity while celebrating the heritage, culture, and individuality of each location.” Contact: info@laranjalfarmhouse Company: Laranjal Farm House Web Address: https://laranjalfarmhouse.com/ Best Boutique Rural Retreat 2026 – Algarve & Outstanding Client Experience Award 2026 – Algarve Laranjal Farm House
