Jul22493 37. One of the largest providers of outsourced staff and services in Ireland, MCR Group employs more than 3,300 people. The company’s national network of trained staff provides its services to clients in government, corporate, industrial, retail, leisure, and residential sectors. Despite the breadth and depth of the services it provides, MCR Group approaches every client as a unique opportunity to create a bespoke service suited to their needs. We take a look at the company in more detail with Managing Director, Kealan Turley. Established in 1996, and headquartered in Dublin, MCR Group has built a national reputation as a trusted supplier of outsourced staff and services. The Group provides a full range of Security, Recruitment, Cleaning, and Engineering services to a host of clients including well known organisations and locations such as Dunnes Stores, St. James’s Hospital, Lidl, Dublin Airport, CBRE and JLL. Providing ‘Lifecycle’ services, MCR Group’s diverse service offering allows the company to work with clients from the construction phase of their premises through to the end user. We ask Kealan about MCR Group’s values. He explains, “The company’s main focus is on putting people first and, to that end, we foster a diverse, inclusive and fair workplace culture. MCR Group respects diverse life experiences, cultures, and heritages, and we aim to ensure that everyone has a voice.” MCR Group’s mission centres around its commitment to remaining agile. Always evolving, the company strives towards a more sustainable business model and has recently introduced its own environmental initiative called ÍON (pure in Irish). MCR Group has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services to its clients, and has been recognised with numerous awards for its commitment to excellence and innovation. MCR Group is committed to sustainability and social responsibility, and has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce its environmental impact and give back to the community. For example, the company recently created a community cleaning initiative where staff volunteer to clean up Dublin's city centre. Originally set up as a recruitment company, additional divisions of the group have gradually evolved. This gives MCR Group one distinct advantage over its competitors – its ability to effectively manage operations via its central recruitment hub. Kealan tells us, “At the moment staff shortages are common and the biggest barrier to delivering a successful service is a lack of staff availability. We don’t have that problem. Our central recruitment team handle advertising, sourcing and interviewing across all our divisions. Our personnel division takes care of HR responsibility and is a continuous point of contact for the employee once they have been hired. Our personnel team accesses a shared staff directory which enables them to identify the most qualified and nearest staff, even at short notice, meaning we can always deliver a high quality and reliable staffing service to our clients.” The company has a strong focus on employee development and engagement, and offers a supportive and inclusive work environment for its staff. With people as its business, MCR Group is the first to recognise the importance of a strong, healthy company culture. Encouraging innovation, fostering a sense of purpose and a feeling of belonging are all high on the agenda for the company that prides itself on retaining top talent. MCR Group champions the use of clear communication and uses behaviouralbased interview questions to ascertain how the prospective employee will fit with the existing culture. With the emphasis already being on the use of technology to match and recruit candidates, MCR Group has plans to continue to roll out best in class software and technology packages across the organisation to drive operational excellence. Looking to the future, Kealan says, “We’re proud of our ability to evolve and grow in reaction to trends and industry changes. There’s likely to be a continued emphasis on promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. This means organisations will need to be more intentional in their efforts to attract and retain a diverse pool of candidates. We’ll remain agile and continue to invest in our technology, processes and people in response to upcoming trends.” Contact: Kealan Turley, Managing Director Company: MCR Group Web Address: www.mcrgroup.ie Most Comprehensive Staffing Service Group 2023
