We are excited to announce that the European Enterprise Awards will be returning to EU Business News once again in 2023! Throughout its six-year run, the European Enterprise Awards has become a flagship programme for our platform and is a trusted guide to the top performers and leading businesses operating across the European market.
The past few years have been extremely turbulent for Europe, with the looming uncertainty of Brexit swiftly followed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, and now the ongoing war in Ukraine. All of these events took a heavy toll on EU industry, which has had to contend with volatile energy prices, supply chain shortages, and rising inflation rates as a result. Business activity has also been shrinking alongside the slowing of consumer demand, as people deal with the effect of a cost-of-living crisis that is leaving them with less disposable income.
All of this has meant that European businesses have been forced to come up with inventive means to ensure their survival, under even the most challenging circumstances. The resilience of EU industry has been bolstered by the strong foothold that Europe has in the global economy, as well as its position as a top player in international trade. In fact, the EU is recognised as the largest exporter of manufactured goods in the world, while also ranking as the number one trading partner for over eighty countries. The trade policy of transparency and openness that is promoted across the European market has allowed great opportunities for economic expansion. By developing trade and investment partnerships with the rest of the world, Europe has been successful in creating jobs and sustaining growth in key industry segments.
Through the European Enterprise Awards 2023, EU Business News will look into a variety of sectors to discover the latest innovations and industry trends that are shaping the business landscape in Europe today. We don’t determine our recipients based on company size or number of votes, so whether you are a sole trader, SME, or run a larger corporation, you have an equal chance at recognition in the European Enterprise Awards! Instead, our dedicated in-house research team focus on selecting winners through merit-based factors such as client testimonials, product launches, quality of service, as well as any other relevant contributions to the larger community or industry field.
Once recipients for the European Enterprise Awards 2023 have been finalised, EU Business News will present all winners with a variety of advertising options to choose from in order to promote their award to the fullest. These range from a free-of-charge marketing toolkit featuring an online directory listing, to commercial packages that include extended editorial coverage in the dedicated winners’ supplement. Our bespoke packages also offer both physical and digital items such as personalised badge logos and trophies to truly maximise the promotional benefits of the award.
If the European Enterprise Awards 2023 sound like a programme you would like to be involved in, you can make a nomination by clicking the ‘Vote Now’ button and completing the submission form provided. We wish the best of luck to all of this year’s candidates!
The EU Business News team work hard in identifying great businesses, driving many of the nominations themselves. We also encourage external nominations from the subscribers of the magazine, online visitors, social media followers, clients and wider circulation. Nominating parties are invited to put forward either their own business or third-party companies whom they hold in high regard.
All nominees are formally requested to accept their nomination. Should any firm or individual decline at this point, they are simply taken out of the running. Those who formally accept are given the opportunity to submit additional supporting information to cement their nomination. Although there is no obligation to complete and supply material, we have found that many nominees value this stage, in the process, as much as our research team do.
Our dedicated research team will assess all information presented to them. The team gather information independently from a variety of publicly accessible sources, which are assessed alongside any material supplied by a nominating party or the nominee themselves. The research team casts their final judgment, based on various criteria such as: business performance, longevity, business growth (either sustained or rapid), any significant innovations or feedback from stakeholders.
Once winners are selected, they are personally notified before any public announcement is made, allowing time for any communications throughout the wider business and the coordination of marketing strategies. Unfortunately, not everyone can be a winner; however, all who take part are encouraged to come back next year. Once the press embargo is lifted, details of our award winners will be made public via the website, award winners’ magazine and subscriber newsletter.
We are prepared to offer a range of promotional packages and items to winners of a EU Business News award, which vary from inclusion in the free-of-charge winners’ directory, to trophies, content in our magazine and on our website.
We encourage all winners to publicly announce their win independently in order to gain maximum exposure for their win. Announcements via company websites, social media, via publicly released press releases, and through local and national press are all great ways of maximising the exposure which can be gained from such a great achievement. If you have need of further advice, on how to publicise your win, please feel free to get in touch. We are happy to assist our clients with their needs.
The Nomination Team can assist with answering any queries that you have regarding a nomination, or the process involved in taking part in one of our award programmes.
Please get in touch with us via email or over the phone if you have any questions - we are happy to help!
