A few years ago, the municipality of Elsinore closed the old tourist bureau, as it was a obsolete/old fashioned approach to tourist information. As of spring 2023, Elsinore launched the new Elsinore Visitor Service. Elsinore Visitor Service is a platform for tourist information and service with a new physical information center. It is conveniently located at the Culture Yard next to UNESCO World Heritage Site Kronborg Castle – (home to Shakespeare’s Hamlet). It has been launched in addition to new wayfinding, maps and signage through town, new handouts to follow the overall design and finally yet importantly a customer experience management tool of 15 videos, courses and onboarding for all tourism related businesses in town.
