Events Photographer of the Year 2020 – Dublin
I have been a professional photographer based in Dublin for almost 20 years now, having previously studied photography at IADT College Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin. I have worked in many photographic areas including advertising, film stills, events, architecture, portraiture, fashion and PR.
Growing up playing music in my teens in various Dublin bands, this is where I cut my teeth photographing some of my favourite bands from Ireland and around the world. I learnt the hard lessons of limited light, fast moving subjects, combined with the limitations of shooting on film.
After studying photography at IADT for 3 years I went on to travel the globe photographing in such countries as Cuba, Japan, Argentina and Thailand before returning and setting up my own business in photography.
I feel that the wealth of knowledge I have built up over the years has well prepared me for any photographic situation.
