Lúcia Cruz Pinto was born in Ponta Delgada in the Azores. She moved with her parents to Mozambique and soon after went to live in South Africa. It was on her return to Portugal that she discovered her passion for jewelry. In 1992 she registered the brand Lucente and started exploring different techniques and ways of making jewelry. Her creative path took her traveling through different continents, Asia, America, Europe and Africa in search for inspiration and new materials.
