The Black Chestnut

Best Boutique Mountain Retreat 2026

About The Black Chestnut

Thank you for making The Black Chestnut an award-winning stay! Tucked in the mountain village of Agios Nikolaos, above Karpenisi, our stone-built house was made for slow mornings by the fireplace and long evenings on the terrace with the peaks in view. We're honored that so many of you left us glowing reviews — it means everything to us. Whether you came for the hiking trails, the quiet, or just to unplug, we're so glad you felt at home. Here's to many more mountain memories.
