Currently in its first year, we at EU Business News are thrilled to host the European Travel Awards 2022! Focusing on those at the forefront of the travel, tourism, and leisure industry, we seek to shine a light on those who have shown true excellence in commitment, determination, and customer service more than ever over the past 12 months across Europe.
After an uneasy couple of years in the industry during and in the wake of the global pandemic, the travel industry is improving day by day. Statistics from Eurostat show that last year, the number of nights spent at EU tourist accommodations totalled 1.8 billion, which was a 27% increase compared with 2020.
With the easing of travel restrictions, this increase is set to rise in 2022 as tourists plan their next European Getaway and we at EU Business News aim to shine a light on those who accommodate tourists, those who make the travelling process run smoothly, and those who create an enjoyable experience for tourists of Europe from across the globe.
At EU Business News we recognise now is the most crucial time to take part in our European Travel Awards 2022. The awards programme will highlight businesses who have kept positive through all challenges, changed company dynamics for the better and have even bigger goals for 2022.
Notifying stakeholders of your participation in our programme indicates that your business is garnering the attention of third parties, and that word of your expertise and customer service is creating a buzz with competitors.
As always, our programme is open to all businesses in the travel industry within Europe, regardless of company age and size. Naturally, our awards are based on merit alone, rather than the number of votes received for each individual. The process works to ensure that we reward businesses based on their excellence in the industry, the commitment to their guests and their dedication to services.
With a circulation of 100,000 readers, here at EU Business News we are passionate about equipping our successful winners with awards and marketing materials. Offering a varied range of optional celebratory packages to acknowledge the excellence of your business, these packages are designed to perfectly promote your business to others of the same nature whilst increasing brand exposure.
So, if you are, or know of a travel business deserving of recognition, then please feel free to nominate via the form or reach out to the Awards Programme Coordinator Jazmin Collins directly for further details.

Jazmin is both creative and dedicated in her role as Awards Co-ordinator for EU Business News. Jazmin works hard to ensure a great customer journey for her clients and is committed to supporting award winners and nominees in gaining the best exposure for their efforts and their business.
The EU Business News team work hard in identifying great businesses, driving many of the nominations themselves. We also encourage external nominations from the subscribers of the magazine, online visitors, social media followers, clients and wider circulation. Nominating parties are invited to put forward either their own business or third-party companies whom they hold in high regard.
All nominees are formally requested to accept their nomination. Should any firm or individual decline at this point, they are simply taken out of the running. Those who formally accept are given the opportunity to submit additional supporting information to cement their nomination. Although there is no obligation to complete and supply material, we have found that many nominees value this stage, in the process, as much as our research team do.
Our dedicated research team will assess all information presented to them. The team gather information independently from a variety of publicly accessible sources, which are assessed alongside any material supplied by a nominating party or the nominee themselves. The research team casts their final judgment, based on various criteria such as: business performance, longevity, business growth (either sustained or rapid), any significant innovations or feedback from stakeholders.
Once winners are selected, they are personally notified before any public announcement is made, allowing time for any communications throughout the wider business and the coordination of marketing strategies. Unfortunately, not everyone can be a winner; however, all who take part are encouraged to come back next year. Once the press embargo is lifted, details of our award winners will be made public via the website, award winners’ magazine and subscriber newsletter.
We are prepared to offer a range of promotional packages and items to winners of a EU Business News award, which vary from inclusion in the free-of-charge winners’ directory, to trophies, content in our magazine and on our website.
We encourage all winners to publicly announce their win independently in order to gain maximum exposure for their win. Announcements via company websites, social media, via publicly released press releases, and through local and national press are all great ways of maximising the exposure which can be gained from such a great achievement. If you have need of further advice, on how to publicise your win, please feel free to get in touch. We are happy to assist our clients with their needs.
